Arcbound Update #25

Losing Hope, Gaining Clarity, and Finding Your Inner Strength

FROM THE FOUNDERS

Your story is waiting. What’s stopping you?

You see it in her movements first—Rebecca brings her hand to her chest, then her stomach, and then her face clenches. She’s scared.

Viewers of Ted Lasso might think Rebecca Welton (played by Hannah Waddingham) could never be afraid. The powerhouse owner of AFC Richmond, Rebecca began the Apple TV+ series by trying to destroy her newly owned football club to spite its former owner, her ex-husband Rupert and has since become the club’s most ardent supporter. Her mentorship of the people around her, from Ted to PR consultant Keeley Jones to the AFC Richmond players themselves, her growth as a character, and her clear business savvy have made her a fan favorite.

But in last week’s episode of Ted Lasso, Rebecca was struggling. She was about to be the only woman in a room full of men who had previously known her only as Rupert’s wife, and who hadn’t taken AFC Richmond seriously since she took ownership.

Rebecca took a deep breath and found her inner strength.

We’re not going to spoil the end for you, but we will tell you this—the moments where you find your inner strength help guide you to the best version of yourself.

They develop and hold up your arc.

When what you do is driven by your inner strength, you can do anything. You might find yourself starting a business, speaking in front of a crowd, standing your ground on an opinion, or writing your very first book. The sky's the limit.

And then you get to tell that story, over and over again, to help other people do the same thing. Gathering the power within is an experience so profound that you’ll find it impossible not to encourage others to follow in your footsteps.

Those are the stories we want to help you tell. The ones that don’t just change your world, but the whole world.

So dig down deep (real deep, if you have to) and gather your strength. Let it fly out of you like it was always meant to, and show yourself (and everyone else) what you’ve always been capable of.

Your story is out there, waiting for you to take the next step. We’ll be here, eager to help you shout it from the rooftops when you’re ready.

THE ONE AWAY SHOW

Sara Stibitz, a bestselling ghostwriter, joined Bryan on The One Away Show to discuss how the way you impact the people in your life is far more important than anything else that you do, why writing will help you find out gaps in your knowledge, and whether or not all the striving worth sacrificing time with your family. Listen to their important conversation at the link below!
